Great Winter Events at the Cleveland Metropark Zoo

Some Like It Hot, Some Like It Cold - Whether you prefer palm trees or evergreens, you're sure to enjoy December Days at the Zoo. This end of the year event offers seasonal activites for those who enjoy their holidays in the sun & the snow. December Days are Dec 18 - 24 and 26-30, 2006. Zoo admission will be half prce, $3 for adults & $2 for juniors (2-11).

Oh Christmas Tree

The centerpiece of dowtown Cleveland's Winterfest is the 40-foot blue spruce that traditionally claims the spot of honor in front of Tower City. Chris King, the city's manager of forestry finds this behemoth, cuts it, delivers it and installs it. "We tie it up to prevent breakage, use a city crane to cut it down and haul it away in a trailer." Simple enough, the way King tells it. But first he has to find such a holiday contender.
